No none of these interest me. Me and practically everyone else was expecting info on what their new game is. WTF is Sony and friends doing teasing the crap out of us?! ANNOUNCE YOUR GAMES!

Worries me a little because unless I’m mistaken, Returnal was Housemarques debut or at least the first game that really did well. Seems a little arrogant to go to this kind of format so soon after success, no? Where’s the next game?

The fact that the announcement was made by Housemarque themselves was a bit of a sign that it wasn't going to be a new game. They would have saved an announcement like that for the next Showcase/State of Play.

@Deoxyr1bose it’s not the lack of a teaser that’s an issue, I personally don’t like them anyway because they say nothing except “it’s coming eventually.” My issue is the near total silence about upcoming projects. It is not in any way business as usual, and with the increased prices, cross gen release and fewer releases in general that is not a way to paint a platform as healthy. PlayStation is fine as a company and console, but I’d like more information about what’s to come.

As an avid gamer, books are my passion.

Honestly, this should've just been announced in the initial tweet, without that "Tomorrow" tease. To do that at a time when a lot of gamers are getting increasingly impatient with the lack of Sony first party news is very tone deaf.

@DeathlySW Housemarque's first game was an Asteroids clone called Stardust all the way back on the Amiga. I personally would argue that the first taste of success they had was Resogun all the way back at the beginning of the PS4, when that game managed to hit the most perfect point in a release gap between games, and people absolutely loved it. But sure, Returnal is probably the biggest and most ambitious game they've ever made, so it will get judged differently.

I love Returnal, it's easily my favourite game this gen, that being said, I don't understand why they teased a reveal for a book, it was unnecessary.

@Czar_Khastik Haha playing Pentiment is the closest I have come to reading a book in the last few years. I didn’t get very far.

@BeerIsAwesome I had no idea they’ve been around this long. Thanks for the info! I definitely hope to see what they’re working on, I liked returnal aesthetically but game play wise it was a bit too arcady for me.

I’ll be picking the graphic novel up. $20 is pretty cheap. I got the Horizon lego set a bit ago. I like these little Playstation collaborations

They should have skipped that teaser. Made people hope and later ruined it for a majority of them. Angry…

Wasn't it Larian recently that said marketing was dead? Perhaps it should remain so.

I hope whoever is responsible for this marketing reflects on whether it was worth winding up the game's fans over... Jeeze.

Thanks for the book and all but how about a sequel? Returnal was one of the biggest and best surprises for me as far as games go in recent memory.

If you misread a word do you have to start the book over at chapter one? Cause if so i ain’t getting it like i didn’t for Returnal. Which stinks cause i love this dev. I just don’t play that genre at all.

While I would like a new game, this is cool as well.

@DeathlySW Not even close. Housemarque have been around for almost 30 years (over 30 if you include their predecessors Bloodhouse and Terramarque). They’ve released plenty of hits along the way (Super Stardust, Dead Nation, Resogun).

Not sure why everyone is so miffed by them teasing the announcement yesterday. If you really thought they were going to announce a new game, well, that's on you.

I'm kind of interested in the artbook. I might have been interested in the comic, but it sounds like it's just the story of the game? I also really loathe animated trailers for comics. It's impossible to see what the actual book will look like and it's just not reflective of what you're buying.

@DeathlySW Not a problem. A few of their games are on Plus Extra, but not all. I assume some rights issues or something. I like the aesthetic of Returnal, but I'm not very good at the game. As in, I can't even get out of the first biome. 😭

Can anyone tell me when the real launch of PSVR2 is? Now that the 'soft launch' is out of the way, when is the real launch?

Graphic novel looks nice, but not sure I need to read a retelling of the same story. Seems like it’s a retelling, right?

The game is good but there's no way it should cost $70. I bought it on launch day, have fun with it for 12 hours, after beating the third boss I realize the game actually have only 3 level only changed the environment just a little bit.

After that I sold the game and watched the ending on youtube, I'm glad I didn't finish the game final boss (considering the difficulty and repeated level), the ending is horrible, it doesn't finish or even explain the story setting at all.

@wiiware Biome 4 might look like an alternative version of 1, it still plays very differently and has arguably the best sequence in the game with the approach to the boss and then the fight itself.

Biome 5 and 6 are nothing like 2 and 3. So yeah no idea what you're on about. And you can't just watch the ending and expect everything to make sense, it's something you need to piece together along the way.

Anyway, you robbed yourself of something special.

Graphic novel looks great. I know a friend who will love this (he actually beat the game whilst i failed. Again. ..and Again..)
Anyone expecting a game announcement outside of a show is living in cuckoo land.

@Ainu20 I had my fun for 12 hours, I didn't have fun after that. The punishment for dying is too severe, it's like they padded it so the game can be longer, I'm glad I bought the game on bluray rather than digital back then. I think they should just make the game 3-4 levels and sells it for $50 rather than padded it with samey levels and sold it for $70.

I do think housemarque can make a wicked 3D megaman games if they collaborate with capcom, housemarque handle the gameplay and capcom the rest
